Dueling Prospects

The setting was perfect, on the night that the New Hampshire Fishercats welcomed their 2,000,000 fan they also hosted a highly anticipated pitching match up between two top prospects, New Hampshire’s Kyle Drabek (named 17th Top Prospect in America, milb.com) and Portland’s Casey Kelly (named 28th Top Prospect in America, milb.com). The results…Drabek allowed six hits, all singles, in seven innings of shutout work to improve his record to 5-3. Drabek did not walk anybody and struck out four. Kelly worked 4.2 innings allowing two hits and one run while walking three and striking out six.
