Last month I had the opportunity to photograph Jeremy Woodward, a New Hampshire triathlete who’s story is one of true inspiration.
I admit I have been horrible at keeping the blog portion of my site updated. So with a new year comes a new commitment of trying to keep the blog fresh with updated photos of some of the events and sessions I cover. This past Saturday I was in Durham, New Hampshire covering a Hockey East match up between the University of New Hampshire and Merrimack College.
The University of New Hampshire and the University of Maine meet in a regular season finale that had both teams playing for bragging right in the annual Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket.
A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege to photograph mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters from Tokyo Joe’s Studios/Miletich Fighting Systems. All of the guys were great to work with and I can say I held my head high knowing that I came back from the shoot in one piece! A big thank you to Ed Carr and the rest of the crew and thank you for not tearing me into little shreds. This series of shots is a continuation of my Sportrait collection where I capture the emotion of athletes and also transitions my photography into the commercial art area which will include more than just athletes. If you like what you see please leave a comment or share this link, I always welcome feedback.
It will be 10 years next month since I graduated from Keene State College but I still enjoy getting to campus whenever I can. Last weekend was no exception as the Owls had a full sports Saturday schedule to kick off Spring Weekend on campus. The baseball team was in doubleheader action against Western Connecticut State, softball (doubleheader) and Women’s Lacrosse each played Rhode Island College and the Men’s Lacrosse team capped off the night against conference rival Eastern Connecticut State.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of covering the 2011 NCAA Men’s Hockey Northeast Regional for the University of Notre Dame. The regional was hosted by the University of New Hampshire and played at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. This post is a big longer than my normal entries as I am bundling 3 days worth of experience in one post.
The Boston University Men’s Basketball team (21-13) took on Stony Brook (15-17) Saturday for the 2011 America East Conference championship.
Saturday evening in Durham was filled with all kinds of emotion. Not only was it Senior night for the Wildcats it was also a must win game for UNH to bring home the 2011 Hockey East regular season title.
