UNH comes up short in Hockey East Semifinal


The TD Garden was the scene for the 2011 Hockey East semi final match up between UNH and Merrimack College.


Blake Kessel (#20) started the evening off on a good note for the Wildcats netting a goal 35 seconds into the game. However after review it was determined that UNH was offsides


UNH’s Stevie Moses (#22) scored the only Wildcat goal on the evening


A team effort for the Wildcats’s as Connor Hardowa (#2), Mike Beck (#25), Jeff Silengo (#18) and Matt Digirolamo (#30) attempt to keep the puck out of the net

Merrimack College went on to beat the Wildcats 4-1 advancing to the Hockey East final against Boston College


These teams could have another potential face off as both UNH and Merrimack have been paired in the Northeast Region of the NCAA D1 Ice Hockey Championship. The Wildcats received the 4th seed and will square off against the #1 seed Miami (Ohio) at 4pm on Saturday, March 26th. The game will air live on ESPN U.
